I get that a lot of people aren't into anime so fair enough, you can feel free to disregard this post, but I think this particular one is accessible to people who normally don't watch anime.
A visually spectacular story told through the imagination of one of Japan's most talented Directors; Hayao Miyazaki. If you've liked any of his previous works then you will enjoy this. The story takes place in a fantasy world, war lurking in the depths and a love story prevailing in the light. We follow Sophie through her enchanting journey to regain her past life stolen by a witch, and her desire to help those around her.
Here's a US trailer, but remember there are Japanese and English versions.
I think it's definitely one of Miyazaki's better works. if you have time or interest, I think it's worth checking out the book, since it's a completely different take on the story. It's got a lot less romance, but brings more character development. If not then watch the movie!
Does what it says on the tin. Come here to check out films, tv shows, anime, music, games and all the rest of it.

My first post - 127 Hours
Hello to everyone and welcome to my blog.
So my first post is about a film called 127 Hours. I'm sure many of you have heard of it as it's been stirring the film world as on of the hottest films out, and from the makers of the highly acclaimed Slumdog Millionaire. It's nominated for 6 Oscars including Best Motion picture and Best Lead Actor Performance.
A quick summary
A mountain climber becomes trapped under a boulder while canyoneering alone near Maob, Utah and resorts to desperate measures in order to survive.
Here's the trailer
Based on a true story of a man who's overcame all obstacles to survive. Touching and brutal, a must see for anyone and everyone.
